Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, chatbot, booking tools, and dog training services provided by Bellum K9, Inc. (“Bellum K9,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting www.bellumk9dogtraining.com, contacting us, or booking an assessment or training service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, using our chatbot, communicating with us by phone or text, or purchasing any service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services. These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy & SMS Messaging Terms, which is incorporated here by reference.

2. Our Services

Bellum K9 provides in-person dog training and behavior services, including assessments, training programs, and related guidance for dog owners. Service descriptions, locations, and availability may change over time. We reserve the right to refuse, modify, or discontinue any service at our discretion.

3. Bookings & Assessments

You may request a booking through our website form, chatbot, phone, or text. A booking is confirmed only once we acknowledge it and any required reservation payment has been received. You are responsible for providing accurate information about yourself and your dog, including any history of aggression, illness, or injury, so that we can assess and serve you safely.

4. Payments & Fees

Fees for assessments and training services are presented before you book. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers on our servers. By submitting payment, you authorize the charge for the selected service. All fees are stated in U.S. dollars unless noted otherwise.

5. Cancellations, Deposits & Refunds

All payments and deposits are non-refundable. Failure to attend, schedule, participate in, or complete training does not qualify you for a refund, credit, extension, rollover, or transfer.

Payment & refunds

All training programs must be paid in full before services begin (except Puppy Class, which is paid per class or per class pack). No training services begin until the selected program or class has been paid in full. All payments are non-refundable.

Deposits & reservations

A deposit is required to reserve a training slot for any private program. The standard deposit is approximately thirty percent (30%) of the total program cost, though we may accept alternate amounts at our discretion. Deposits are non-refundable and valid for thirty (30) days from the date of payment. A deposit is applied toward your program cost only if you begin training within that thirty (30) day window. Failure to schedule and begin training within thirty (30) days results in forfeiture of the deposit with no carryover, transfer, or future credit, and a new deposit is required to re-enroll. Training slots are not reserved without a paid deposit; verbal agreements, estimates, quotes, and unpaid scheduling requests do not guarantee availability.

Rescheduling & missed sessions

Unless your program-specific terms state otherwise, you may reschedule no more than two (2) sessions per program. Reschedules require at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice and are subject to trainer and facility availability. Any no-call / no-show automatically forfeits that session or class, and cancellations with less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice may also result in forfeiture. Verified emergencies, illness, or severe weather may be considered solely at our discretion, and approval of an exception does not automatically extend any program deadline.

Inactivity, termination & program changes

Failure to attend, schedule, or participate in training for a period of two (2) to three (3) weeks may result in automatic program termination at our sole discretion. Upon termination for inactivity, inconsistency, non-compliance, or scheduling failure, all remaining sessions are forfeited without refund, credit, rollover, transfer, or extension. Downgrading to a lower-priced program does not entitle you to any refund, credit, or partial refund of the difference. Program upgrades and cross-program changes are handled by paying the price difference at then-current pricing, as described in your training services agreement.

Dog training outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including each dog’s temperament, health, and history, as well as the consistency with which you apply the methods we recommend. While we are committed to a high standard of service, we do not guarantee specific results, timelines, or the elimination of any particular behavior. Our guidance is not a substitute for veterinary or medical care.

8. Assumption of Risk & Liability

Working with animals carries inherent risks, including the possibility of bites, scratches, or other injury. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume these risks and agree that Bellum K9, its owners, and its staff are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from your dog’s behavior or your participation in our services, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Communications & SMS Messaging Program

By providing your contact information, you agree that we may contact you about your booking and services by phone, email, and text message. Bellum K9 Inc. operates an SMS/text messaging program for customer care and support. Messages are used to respond to your questions, follow up on inquiries and service requests, and send appointment scheduling, reminders, and booking or payment confirmations related to your dog training.

Opt-out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text STOP to unsubscribe. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. For assistance, reply HELP to any message.

Message & data rates. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Bellum K9 Inc. does not charge for the messages themselves.

Carrier liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. Agreeing to receive text messages is never required to purchase our goods or services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use our website, services, and messaging program.

10. Acceptable Use

When using our website or communicating with us, you agree not to misuse the services, submit false information, harass our staff, or attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to our systems. We may suspend or terminate access or services for conduct that violates these Terms or applicable law.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, the “Bellum K9” name, and “The Bellum Standard™” — is owned by or licensed to Bellum K9, Inc. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content or trademarks without our prior written permission.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
